Scholarships & Financial Aids


1.The Taiwan Scholarship Program

  Four government agencies of the Republic of China (Taiwan) --- Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), and Ministry of Science and Technology, jointly established the Taiwan Scholarship Program to encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree programs in Taiwan.  


2.CGU Scholarship Guidelines for International Students

  To promote the international academic cooperation policy of the Ministry of Education and to enroll distinguished international students, Chang Gung University awards scholarships to international students who are officially enrolled at CGU and are not receiving other scholarships from the Ministry of Education or other R.O.C. government agencies.

  Students who meet the following requirements may apply for the scholarship.

  Enrollment Credits Accomplished years’ grade average Others
Undergraduate More than one semester 9 credits in the previous semester 70 No major violations.
Graduate More than one semester At least one course for each semester 75
Graduate (degree candidate) More than one semester -

3.CGU Graduate Merit Scholarship Program

  The CGU merit scholarship and financial aids policies for international students are exactly the same as those for R.O.C. citizens.

B. International Student Financial Aids

1.Financial Aids

 This financial aids aim to encourage excellent international students to study at CGU. For those international freshmen who are admitted by CGU would receive the financial aids for their first academic semester.The period for stipend award is no less than one semester for PhD students and Master students, contingent upon academic performance.

2.Research Assistants

  CGU pursues excellence on both research and teaching. All faculty members are actively executing research projects sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Institute of Health and other government organizations, private commercial enterprises and manufacturers. We offer ample job opportunities for research assistants. For more information, please contact individual project supervisors.

3.Financial aids does not include fees of student insurance, health insurance, housing expense, Internet, professional advisory of each department, and other additional fees.
