Scholarship & Financial Aid Information


1.The Taiwan Scholarship Program

  Four government agencies of the Republic of China (Taiwan) --- Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), and Ministry of Science and Technology, jointly established the Taiwan Scholarship Program to encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree programs in Taiwan.

2.CGU  Merit Scholarship Program

  The CGU merit scholarship and financial aids policies for international students are exactly the same as those for R.O.C. citizens.

3.Financial assistance to graduate international students in Chang Gung University

    The 41 financial assistance places for international students are provided based on a competitive selection process. Tuition: International full-time Ph.D./Master students are eligible for a full tuition waiver for the first academic semester. For Ph.D. students, the tuition waiver may carry up to 8 semesters pending on satisfactory academic performance. For Master students, the tuition waiver may carry up to 4 semesters, subject to satisfactory academic performance.

    International students who have received Taiwan government scholarships or full tuition fee waiver from their country are excluded.

4.CGU Academic scholarship for top-performing students (Undergraduate Programs)

    International students who have been enrolled at CGU for more than one semester may apply. Transcript of the previous semester will be required upon applying. Ten thousand TWD dollars for the first place; seven thousand dollars for the second place, and four thousand dollars for the third place of every class per semester. The scholarship qualification will be reviewed for each semester of applicants' academic performance.

B. International Student Financial Aids

1.Research Assistants

 CGU pursues excellence on both research and teaching. All faculty members are actively executing research projects sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Institute of Health and other government organizations, private commercial enterprises and manufacturers. We offer ample job opportunities for research assistants. For more information, please contact individual project supervisors.

    Financial aids does not include fees of student insurance, health insurance, housing expense, Internet, professional advisory of each department, and other additional fees.

2. Housing accommodation waiver:
    International full-time Ph.D./Master students are eligible for housing accommodation waiver (Quad Room). If you would like to change the room, you need to pay the difference.
